Hiperwall and UCI’s Calit2 to Host Imaging Science Foundation Commercial (ISF-C)
Display Calibration Seminar

The ISF-C two-day seminar focuses on science of light and color, and how the human eye reacts to images.
The comprehensive display-calibration certificate program is aimed at distributors and resellers

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 29, 2011 – Hiperwall, Inc. and the University of California Irvine’s (UCI) California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) will host the Imaging Science Foundation Commercial (ISF-C) two-day certification seminar on commercial display engineering and calibration on Dec. 8-9, 2011.  The seminar will be held in the Calit2 Visualization/Hiperwall Laboratory.  Hiperwall is a UCI spinoff established to commercialize video wall-display technology initially developed by researchers at the university.

“With four video walls comprising more 235 million pixels across 80 large-screen commercial displays, the Calit2 Visualization Laboratory is the ideal location for this seminar,” said Alan Brawn, Principal at Brawn Consulting.  As one of the largest and most advanced visualization facilities in the world, the lab offers a rich learning experience for students by providing  the latest visual display technologies.

The ISF Commercial display calibration and certification program provides an audiovisual industry-standard qualification process for A/V systems integrators to educate and certify their technical staffs to provide the utmost in professional services.  When a display is chosen, the job is not complete until the display is fine-tuned for the application and environment.  Going beyond basic adjustments, ISF Commercial-certified technicians insure that displays are fine-tuned for peak performance, long life and the most efficient total cost of ownership.  Those companies that select an ISF Commercial-certified integrator will see a clear differentiation between integrators who are committed to excellence and those who are less qualified.

An online examination is provided following the end of the seminar for those interested in becoming ISF Commercial Certified and attaining membership in the elite community of display experts recognized around the world for their unsurpassed standards.

“In today’s competitive workplace, there are numerous benefits to industry certifications.  Certifications have taken on a life of their own in medical, legal, architectural, audiovisual and IT industries,” said Brawn.  “Certifications are becoming an essential part of job skills, personal development and advancement in differentiating professionalism.”
