IP-based Infrastructure -- 100% software.

Powerful, scalable and easy to implement.

The Benefits of Hiperwall Software

Hiperwall software eliminates the cost, complexity, and limitations of legacy AV-based proprietary systems, making video walls a practical solution for organizations of any size. We've been able to accomplish this with our innovative distributed visualization architecture, IP-based infrastructure and the fact that it’s hardware agnostic.

Budget-Friendly

You don't need to buy expensive proprietary hardware. Hiperwall software will work with any of today's standard displays and PC systems. You can start small and expand your installation later. Simply buy off-the-shelf hardware and Hiperwall licenses. Network architecture makes it easy to install, so you save time, too.

Scalable

Because Hiperwall software is distributed and hardware agnostic, it's easy to expand a Hiperwall-powered system by simply adding low-cost off-the-shelf components. This gives you the flexibility to start small and grow later.

Access Control

Administrators can oversee who's accessing the system with a powerful user-authentication tool. Robust user access control, tracking tools, and detailed authorization levels give the admin full control and the peace of mind that comes with it.

Distributed Visualization

Distributed Visualization

growthOnly Hiperwall software is based on a distributed visualization architecture. Instead of using a single computer or server for processing, like traditional platforms, Hiperwall’s unique and powerful system distributes the visual processing load to each computer in the Hiperwall network.

Every time a computer running Hiperwall software is added to the Hiperwall network, it not only adds a new content source or destination, but it also adds more processing power.

"...ensures that you have the power to display a huge number of sources at one time. "

As a result, the total processing power of the Hiperwall system automatically increases as the number of components increases. This helps ensure that large walls do not outgrow the processing capabilities of the complete Hiperwall system and ensures that you have the power to display a huge number of sources at one time.

Ethernet Infrastructure

Ethernet Infrastructure

ethernet switchHiperwall software uses a low cost, ubiquitous, IP-based infrastructure as a transport method. Comprised of multiple peer-to-peer networked PCs, system components are connected to an ordinary gigabit Ethernet switch by ordinary Ethernet cabling.

The size of the total Hiperwall system installation is only limited by the number of ports in the gigabit switch. The switch must be a Layer 2 design that supports IGMP, enabling the Hiperwall network to perform efficiently even when running multiple live video streams across the network. If the system outgrows the number of ports, the switch can be easily replaced with a larger switch, or another switch may be connected via an inter-switch (stacking) link.

"...significantly reduces cost, complexity, space requirements, energy use, and cable clutter."

For successful operation, this gigabit Ethernet network is the only infrastructure that Hiperwall needs. Control and content are delivered to the wall via gigabit Ethernet. This is a significant advantage over legacy video wall systems that typically require some combination of complex servers, matrix switches, and distribution amplifiers to deliver content to a video wall. By eliminating this equipment, the Hiperwall system significantly reduces cost, complexity, space requirements, energy use, and cable clutter.

hardware agnostic

Hardware Agnostic

Video walls and distributed visualization systems built using Hiperwall software can be assembled with any brand of display, PC and network gear. Do you have a hardware brand that your company prefers? You can choose that brand with Hiperwall. You can even repurpose existing hardware for use in your Hiperwall system.

Displays: You can use any brand and type of display -- LCD, LED, projectors... dvLED

PCs: The off-the-shelf computers used to run Hiperwall software’s controllers need only be Windows PCs. At a minimum, the PCs need a dual-core CPU, gigabit Ethernet port and a recent generation graphics processor. Hiperwall software supports Windows 7 or later. Memory requirements vary by the operating system, with a minimum of 2 GB. Hiperwall software also uses hardware acceleration for many operations.

Networking:  Do you love Cisco?  D-Link?  Juniper?  You can use almost any brand of managed network switches, such as Cisco, D-Link, Pakedge (and the list goes on), as long as they meet Hiperwall’s basic system requirements.

For the optimum performance of your video wall, the Hiperwall Technical Services Team can recommend commodity off-the-shelf products and hardware configurations that work exceptionally well to satisfy basic as well as the most demanding multi-media requirements on the Hiperwall video wall and distributed visualization system.

Fault Tolerance

Fault Tolerance

Hiperwall software’s distributed architecture allows the use of two controllers in a system. With two control points working simultaneously the system is protected. If one controller goes down for any reason, the other takes over seamlessly.

Fault tolerance requires two licenses -- the HiperController license and the HipeFailSafe license. The HiperFailSave license includes an additional HiperController license and the fail-safe technology. These two licenses come standard in the Hiperwall Premium Suite. Or, if you already have one HiperController license, you can buy a HiperFailSafe license and add fault tolerance.

Future Proof

Because Hiperwall software is hardware agnostic, you don't have to worry that the next technology will obsolete your system. Your current Hiperwall software or an upgraded version will work with whatever comes your way, whether it's new display technology, the next generation of video resolution, or just the need for a bigger video wall.

Limitless Resolution
